Is there a free trial with no credit card?

Yes — every account starts with a 14-day trial on the Pro tier, no credit card required. You get full access to all features so you can evaluate the platform with your real workload, not a toy project. After 14 days you choose a plan or your account moves to read-only.

Can I change plans mid-month?

You can upgrade at any time and the new limits apply immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. We prorate upgrade charges to the day, so you never pay for capacity you didn't have access to yet.

What counts as a 'service'?

A service is any independently deployable unit connected to the platform — a backend API, a frontend app, a background worker, a scheduled job. Monorepos with multiple deployable packages count each package as one service.

Do preview environments count against my service limit?

No. Preview environments are ephemeral copies of your services and do not count toward your plan's service limit. A team on the Start plan with 5 services can still spin up 10 simultaneous preview environments without hitting a wall.

What happens if a build exceeds the artifact cache limit?

Older artifacts are evicted by LRU policy — the most-recently-used artifacts stay, the oldest get pruned. You will not be charged overage automatically; cache eviction is silent and your builds keep running, just without the cache hit for evicted layers.
